CSKA Moscow – Barcelona

It is a big battle atop the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings. CSKA Moscow (15-4) is on a six-game home-court winning streak, led by Mike James (20.6 ppg., 6.0 apg.), Nikola Milutinov (9.0 ppg., 8.8 rpg.) and Darrun Hilliard (11.1 ppg.). FC Barcelona (13-6), still without Brandon Davies, Victor Claver and Nikola Mirotic, has won its last two games and looks for its second win in Russia this week. Cory Higgins (11.8 ppg.), Nick Calathes (7.9 ppg., 7.6 apg.) and Kyle Kuric (9.0 ppg., 61.4% 3FG) are leading the team right now.

CSKA had an overwhelming rebounding advantage in its last two wins – 33-60 against AX Armani Exchange Milan and 44-26 against Zalgiris. All CSKA players should keep powering the boards, especially its best rebounders – Milutinov, Johannes Voigtmann and Joel Bolomboy. Stopping former CSKA star Higgins should be one of the keys, and the Russian powerhouse relies on Nikita Kurbanov to do so. CSKA should push the game tempo, as players like James, Hilliard and Shengelia bring out their best in transition.

Will Clyburn is out with an ankle injury. Daniel Hackett has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

Stopping Milutinov down low should be a priority; he has recorded six double-doubles in the last seven games. With Davies sidelined, Barcelona relies on Artem Pustovyi, Pierre Oriola and Rolands Smits to play strong under the rims. Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius has several options to guard James, but Calathes and Adam Hanga should be the most reliable ones. On offense, Calathes must get his team’s best shooters involved, Alex Abrines and Kyle Kuric, as they would open the floor for everyone else with their shots from downtown.

Brandon Davies has missed Barcelona’s last five games. Nikola Mirotic has missed Barcelona’s last three games.

basketball prediction Tip: 2 (+4.5) at 1.86 with bet365

Fenerbahce – Panathinaikos

A Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (9-10) team on the rise will welcome Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (6-12) on Friday for Round 20 in their second game this week. The hosts are currently on a four-game winning streak, including a commanding victory on Wednesday against TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, 96-76. On the other side, the Greens, who have just appointed Oded Kattash as new head coach, also got back on the winning track after three straight losses by triumphing over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne at home, 88-71.

Fenerbahce is still the worst offensive team in the league at 74.6 ppg. but the injection of morale that the flurry of wins has given the team makes them a fearful foe. Coach Kokoskov seems to have found the formula and the hosts are going strong for a playoffs spot. However, Panathinaikos has better numbers almost on all fronts and it’s also a team looking to find its identity, as the Kattash signing shows, so expect a hard-fought battle.

Ali Muhammed has missed Fenerbahce’s last four games.

The Greens arrive in Istanbul with a new coach and having lost three of their last four games. However, the last one was a success and the team is still the fifth-best in the league under the boards, so that should be a weapon to help launch fast transitions. On defense, the Greens will have to watch out for Fenerbahce snipers (37.9% from the arc), but most of all, be ready to match the intensity and confidence that Fener will show after so many consecutive wins.

Ioannis Papapetrou did not play in Round 19.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 (-8.0) at 1.90 with bet365
(Price correct at 15/01/2010, 09:15 CET, subject to change)

Zenit – Zelgiris

Zenit St Petersburg (11-6) looks to avoid consecutive losses for the first time this season when it hosts Zalgiris Kaunas. Kevin Pangos (11.9 ppg., 6.4 apg.), Arturas Gudaitis (10.3 ppg.) and Will Thomas (8.5 ppg., 5.5 rpg.) lead Coach Xavi Pascual’s team. Zalgiris Kaunas (11-8) comes off a road loss in Moscow that snapped a six-game winning streak. Marius Grigonis (15.2 ppg.), Joffrey Lauvergne (11.0 ppg.) and Nigel Hayes (9.7 ppg.) have been its top scorers so far this season.

Zenit has some of the best defensive numbers in the competition, allowing a league-low 73.4 points and allowing opponents to make just 52.7% of its two-point shots and 35.8% from downtown. Contesting deep shots should be important against Zalgiris, the best three-point shooting team in the EuroLeague (43.0%). On offense, Zenit should make the most of Gudaitis’s greta form, running his offense through him and Pangos.

Alex Poythress has been unavailable for Zenit’s last two games.

Stopping Pangos is a priority for anyone playing against Zenit as its other pure point guard, Dmitriy Khvostov, is sidelined. Zalgiris relies on Thomas Walkup to play intense on-the-ball defense against him. The Lithuanian champs have enough shooters – Grigonis, Hayes, Arturas Milaknis, Lukas Lekavicius – to dynamite any game from beyond the three-point time. Martinas Geben and Lauvergne should be ready to stop Gudaitis around the basket. Controlling the defensive boards should be important to get easy points in transition.

Zalgiris swingman Patricio Garino remains out of action after a knee operation. Steve Vasturia will be sidelined at least until mid-February with a knee injury.

basketball prediction Tip: Zalgiris Over 74.5 at 1.83 with bet365

Bayern – Real Madrid

A virtual tie for third place in the standings will be broken on Friday in Round 21, when FC Bayern Munich (12-7) hosts Real Madrid (12-6). Bayern has won two of its last three games, including an 82-80 decision at home against Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday. Real saw a blizzard postpone its own game that night game against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, so its most recent result was a home loss to AX Armani Exchange Milan, 76-80, in Round 18.

Bayern faces the third-best offense in the league, although Real will be missing Sergio Llull aside from Randolph. It can be a great opportunity for the hosts to return the favor from Round 6. However, Los Blancos still lead the league in average PIR and they will be a bit more rested having skipped Wednesday’s game. If Lucic can keep the pace he set against Zenit, his added dimension will be needed to put the breaks on a Real team that won six in a row before last week.

Robin Amaize, Nihad Dedovic and Zan Mark Sisko have missed the last two games.

Real has better numbers in general than Bayern, and after not playing earlier this week, should be a bit more rested. However, Bayern has not let much rattle it so far this season. Real will have to watch for the aggressive defense of the hosts, who are second in the league in steals (7.9 spg.). Pay attention also to the battle in the paint by two of the hottest centers in the competition, Jalen Reynolds of Bayern and Walter Tavares of Real. This rematch with a step in the standings at stake will be quite a battle as teams start battling tooth and nail for playoffs position.

Anthony Randolph is out with a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez were both sidelined in Round 18.

basketball prediction Tip: Over 156.5 at 1.90 with bet365
(Price correct at 15/01/2010, 09:15 CET, subject to change)

Olympiacos – Villeurbanne

Olympiacos will look to extend its three-game winning streak when it welcomes ASVEL to Peace and Friendship Stadium for the first of two games in five days between these teams. ASVEL, which will try to end its four-game losing streak, is set to host their rescheduled Round 10 game on Tuesday. ASVEL is on a three-day trip to Greece where it suffered an 88-71 loss against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens on Wednesday night, and now takes on a confident Olympiacos side coming off a dramatic 87-89 road win at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.

Olympiacos has found its offensive click. No team is scoring more points over the last three games than Olympiacos with 92.7 per game, however, Coach Georgios Bartzokas’s team certainly has room for improvement. The Reds would certainly like to move the ball a little better, averaging just 17.0 assists during that same stretch, which is in the bottom half in the league. If Olympiacos improves its ball movement, it will be hard to stop.

Kostas Papanikolaou has missed Olympiacos’s last three games.

ASVEL has been outrebounded by an average margin of 7.3 rebounds over the last three games. And while it suggests the team has been struggling to control the boards, the rebounding deficit has also been a product of the team making just 45.6% of its two-point shots over that span. It will be important for ASVEL to establish an inside game to have a better shot at an upset in Piraeus.

basketball prediction Tip: 2 (+8.5) at 1.90 with bet365
(Price correct at 15/01/2010, 09:15 CET, subject to change)

Valencia – Crvena Zvezda

The final game of Round 20 will see Valencia Basket host Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. Valencia (10-8) is on a three-game losing streak for the first time this season and hopes to bounce back at La Fonteta. Klemen Prepelic (11.2 ppg.), Nikola Kalinic (9.7 ppg.) and Louis Labeyrie (8.3 ppg., 4.3 rpg.) are leading the team right now with Bojan Dubljevic sidelined. Zvezda (6-12) looks for its first road win since mid-November. Corey Walden (11.1 ppg.), Johnny O’Bryant (12.1 ppg., 5.5 rpg.) and Quino Colom (9.3 ppg.) lead the attack with Jordan Loyd out.

Valencia has been outrebounded in each of its last three games, so being more aggressive under the rims should be one of the aspects to focus on. Without Dubljevic, everyone must help on the boards, but especially Tobey, Labeyrie and Derrick Williams. Preventing Colom from generating good options off pick-and-roll situations is also important for Valencia, as well as speeding up the game tempo and getting its best shooters involved. If Van Rossom, Fernando San Emeterio and especially Prepelic find good shots, it should be easier for the hosts.

Bojan Dubljevic has missed Valencia’s last two games. Vanja Marinkovic has missed Valencia’s last 14 games due to a shoulder injury.

Zvezda is allowing 78.0 points on average per game, but that number went down to 72.0 in the last two games. Defense and concentration come first for Coach Dejan Radonjic and his team has been more disciplined lately, using non-shooting balls to avoid easy points. Zvezda needs to improve its shooting percentages (49.1% 2FG, 36.5% 3FG) and has talented scorers such as O’Bryant, Corey Walden and Dejan Davidovac. The additions of experienced players like Colom and Landry Nnoko only help Zvezda raise those numbers.

Langston Hall and Marko Simonovic have missed the last two games with an injury. Jordan Loyd has missed Zvezda’s last three games with an illness.

Khimki – ALBA Berlin

Khimki Moscow Region will look to keep its momentum going and put together back-to-back wins for the first time this season when it hosts ALBA Berlin on Friday. Khimki defeated Real Madrid on Tuesday to snap a 17-game losing streak and improve to 3-23. ALBA faltered in the fourth quarter in losing at Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday. It was the German champs’ third straight loss on the road. ALBA is 4-9 in road games this season.

It all starts with defense for Khimki. With Alexey Shved, Errick McCollum and Jordan Mickey, all know that Khimki can score in bunches. However, it has also allowed the most points in the league (90.5 ppg.) by far; ALBA is second on that list with 82.7. In Khimki’s three wins, the opponents have averaged only 79.0 points. Keeping ALBA below 80 may be the key for the hosts.

  • Devin Booker has missed the last six games.
  • Stefan Jovic has not played in the last five games.
  • Janis Timma did not play in the last two games.
  • Khimki parted ways with Dairis Bertans.

For a team with many great three-point shooters, ALBA’s 35.8% accuracy for the season is surprisingly low. A healthy Marcus Eriksson and Niels Giffey should help raise that number. Khimki has allowed its opponents to make a league-best 43.3% on threes and if ALBA can take advantage and light up the scoreboard from downtown, it would be in a better spot to challenge for a road win in Moscow.

  • Jayson Granger is out after having hand surgery.
  • Louis Olinde is expected to miss several weeks after injuring his hand ahead of Round 25.

basketball prediction Tip: Over 170.5 at 1.90 with bet365

Zalgiris – Milano

Two teams coming off opposite experiences earlier this week will square off Friday as Zalgiris Kaunas (15-12) welcomes AX Armani Exchange Milan (17-10) for Round 28. After a losing skid, Zalgiris was back to winning on Tuesday against ASVEL, 85-75. On the other hand, Milan saw its incipient winning streak snapped at home against Fenerbahce, 92-100. Milan plays to stay among the top four teams in the league, while Zalgiris sits at ninth place and could get into playoffs position with a win.

Facing a Milan offense that ranks third in scoring (82.0 ppg.), Zalgiris will have to power up its defense, especially on the perimeter, where the visitors own the league’s best three-point proficiency (42.5%). Zalgiris is also the worst team in blocks per game (1.1), so defense in the paint against Milan’s big men will also be paramount. Zalgiris boasts solid stats across a wide range of categories, all of which might be needed to hold serve at home against a dangerous visitor.

Milan suffered a tough loss at home, but on paper has been a bit more consistent than Zalgiris. Since the hosts lead the league from the free-throw line (85.5%), the fewer trips they take to that spot, the better for Milan. However, the PIR averages for both teams stay very close to each other (87.8 to 89.9) so it seems that it will all come down to details in this battle with high stakes.

  • Zach LeDay has missed the last four games with an injury.
  • Malcolm Delaney did not play in Round 27.

Olympiacos – Crvena Zvezda

One team will end an eight-game losing streak on Friday as Olympiacos Piraeus (11-16) hosts Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade (7-20) for Round 28. The Reds are currently on a bad streak that started in Round 20 and continued earlier this week with a tough, 91-66 defeat at Baskonia. Already-eliminated Zvezda is in the same situation. They have not won since Round 19 and fell earlier this week at home against Bayern by a close 76-78. This game will be the reprieve that one of these teams need.

If Olympiacos wants to get back in the playoffs race, it needs to win ASAP, as there will not be many more chances to do so on its home floor. Also, Zvezda has the worst scoring (73.5 ppg.) and assists (14.1 apg.) in the league, so solid defense should let the Reds run a bit on offense to try to get easier buckets. The hosts will have to overcome some key absences, and if the game gets as close as their previous one, details could be key, including their 77.4% from the stripe, seventh worst in the league, against Zvezda’s fourth-best 82.3%.

  • Kostas Papanikolaou has missed Olympiacos’s last 12 games.
  • Georgios Printezis did not play in Round 27.
  • Hassan Martin is sidelined with a knee injury.

The guests are in a bad spot, no question. With just seven more possible wins, the best they could so this season is a 14-20, which means they are mathematically out of the playoffs. However, this game could be a good chance for Zvezda to get back on the winning track and try to get some team chemistry back after all the COVID issues it has suffered the last weeks. Olympiacos will be playing for its survival in this game, but with nothing to lose, Zvezda could regroup and play without fear to try to play spoiler and boost morale for the rest of the season.

  • Landry Nnoko, Duop Reath and Quino Colom all missed the last four games because of COVID-19.

basketball prediction Tip: Over 152.5 at 1.90 with bet365
( Euroleague predictions with correct price at 05/03/2021, 09:00 CET. Odds subject to change )

Villeurbanne – Fenerbahce

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne (12-15) comes off a loss after six consecutive victories and hopes to bounce back at home. Norris Cole (13.8 ppg.), David Lighty (11.7 ppg.) and Moustapha Fall (9.4 ppg., 5.6 rpg.) have been its main pillars throughout the season. Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (16-11), winner of 11 out of 12 games, wants to keep rising toward the playoffs. Its led by Jan Vesely (13.2 ppg., 5.5 rpg.), Nando De Colo (15.1 ppg., 4.1 apg.) and Marko Guduric (11.8 ppg., 3.2 apg.).

ASVEL made 46.9% of its three-point shots (54-of-115) during its six-game winning streak. It only hit 8-of-25 attempts from downtown (32%) in its Round 27 loss against Zalgiris Kaunas. That is, more three-point shots with a worse percentage. It is important for ASVEL to find balance on offense, feeding Fall and Guerschon Yabusele for one-on-one chances to open the floor for the team’s many shooters, especially William Howard (55.1% 3FG). On defense, preventing De Colo from running the show should be critical, too.

  • Derrick Walton has been sidelined for several weeks with a hip injury.
  • Antoine Diot did not play in the last two games.

Fenerbahce has been improving its shooting percentages throughout the season, and it now ranks third from downtown (40.6% 3FG) and from the free throw line (83.8%), and second inside the arc (57.0% 2FG). Being able to keep those solid shooting percentages is critical against a physical team like ASVEL. Fenerbahce had 22 assists and just 10 turnovers against AX Armani Exchange Milan in Round 27. Jan Vesely had 8 of those assists, and running its offense through its star center should be a plus again for the Turkish powerhouse.

  • Edgaras Ulanovas missed Round 27 game after being the only Fenerbahce player to start in each of the first 26.

basketball prediction Tip: Winning Margin 3-way Any Other (1-5 points) at 2.75 with bet365
( Euroleague predictions with correct price at 05/03/2021, 09:00 CET. Odds subject to change )

Barcelona – Baskonia

C Barcelona (19-8) leads the standings and comes off a brilliant road win against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. Nikola Mirotic (16.6 ppg., 6.0 rpg.), Cory Higgins (12.9 ppg.) and Brandon Davies (12.1 ppg.) are leading the team so far this season. TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (14-13) is on a five-game winning streak, and each of its last four victories was by at least 20 points. Alec Peters (12.0 ppg.) is Baskonia’s top scorer, followed by Rokas Giedraitis (11.8 ppg.) and Achille Polonara (11.3 ppg.).

Barcelona is shooting the ball very well this season (55.8% 2FG, 40.6% 3FG) but leads the 2020-21 EuroLeague in turnovers (14.9 per game). Cutting those turnovers would make Barcelona even more competitive. It all starts with defense for head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, and Barcelona allows opponents to shoot with a league-low 48.1% inside the arc and just 34.4% from downtown, while ranking second in defensive rebounds (24.1 drpg.). On defense, preventing Luca Vildoza and Pierria Henry from dominating the game tempo should be Barcelona’s main priority.

Baskonia has limited all opponents to less than 70 points in its current five-game winning streak. Those opponents combined had 85-for-187 two-point shooting (45.5%), which speaks volumes about Baskonia’s paint protection. At the same time, Baskonia has been really effective inside the arc, hitting 114 of 191 two-pointers (59.7%). If Baskonia sticks to those percentages at both ends and manages to prevent Abrines, Higgins and Kuric from dynamiting the game from the three-point line, it should have good chances to win.

Zenit – Real Madrid

It will be a tough battle for the playoffs on Thursday when sixth-placed Zenit St Petersburg (16-10) welcomes seventh-placed Real Madrid (16-11). Zenit got back to the win column on Tuesday against ALBA Berlin, 87-71, and has now won two of its last three games. Also on Tuesday, Real fell at Khimki, 78-77, and now has three losses in its last four games. Expect a tough battle between direct opponents.

Zenit has one of the weaker offenses in the league, but also the second-best defense, and that will probably be its main focus to try to defeat Real. Curiously enough, Zenit has better percentages from the field, so maintaining that consistency on offense will also be key to try to defeat a Real team that will visit St Petersburg with some notable absences. It can be a good chance for Zenit to have its revenge, beat the guests for the first time and also take a giant step forward in the race for the playoffs.

Real is going through a rough patch and will surely arrive to St Petersburg wounded after the loss to Khimki. On paper, the guests show better numbers almost everywhere, but the absences of Sergio Llull, Anthony Randolph and Rudy Fernandez are having an impact on the team’s performance lately. Also, Zenit is one of the most consistent teams in the league, so Real will have to face this game against a direct rival in the standings with 100% focus.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 at 2.05 with bet365
(Price correct at 04/03/2021, 11:00 CET, subject to change)

Efes – CSKA Moscow

Two teams with winning momentum will face each other on Thursday when Anadolu Efes Istanbul (16-10) welcomes defending champs CSKA Moscow (18-8) for a duel right in the heat of the playoffs race. Efes has won eight of its last nine games, including the last five. Its newest success came on Tuesday with a home win over Valencia Basket, 99-83. After a short skid, CSKA has started a new winning streak and on Tuesday it defeated Maccabi on the road, 80-84.

Efes has huge momentum going for it. The team is winning and playing better and better, so the duel against CSKA probably arrives at the perfect moment. CSKA still has the best offense in the league (83.6 ppg.) but Efes is not far behind (81.5 ppg.) and also has the third-best defense. The hosts will have to make good use of their defense and pay attention to the boards, as CSKA leads the league in that front (37.0 rpg.).

CSKA is back to its winning ways. This week’s victory in Tel Aviv is always a huge morale boost, and now it has to face arguably the hottest team in the league. Efes is rolling, so the guests will have to make good use of all their weapons for a chance to win. Newcomer Iffe Lundberg seems to have adapted right away, and he will be a key piece in the CSKA puzzle. The biggest stain for CSKA is the second-worst two-point accuracy (50.9%) in the league, so trying to get better options inside can go a long way for the still-defending champs.

Maccabi – Valencia

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (10-15) will try to put an end to its four-game losing streak and catch the last train to join the playoffs race when it welcomes Valencia Basket (14-13) on Thursday. It is the second game in a double-round week for each team. Maccabi is coming off a home 80-84 loss against CSKA Moscow. Valencia, on the other hand, is a win away from the final playoff spot and will try to rebound from a 99-83 loss at Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

It is imperative for Maccabi to find a way to rediscover its offense. After averaging 80.0 per game until Round 22, Maccabi has not managed to score more than 75 points in three consecutive losses, then scored just 33 points in the first half of Tuesday’s game against CSKA. Against Valencia, which ranks second in scoring with 82.6 points per game and dishes a league-high 20.3 assists, Maccabi will need to have better offensive production.

Valencia needs to bounce back from a loss 48 hours earlier and get back its momentum as it is trying to catch up in the playoffs race. Offense has not been a problem for Valencia, and even in Tuesday’s loss in Istanbul, the team made 14 triples and had 20 assists. But Valencia must come out with an extra dose of energy against the hosts, who are playing with their backs against the wall.

basketball prediction Tip: 2 (+3.0) at 1.86 with bet365
(Price correct at 04/03/2021, 11:00 CET, subject to change)

Bayern Munich – Panathinaikos

FC Bayern Munich (17-10) will be looking to continue its run of good form and a historic playoff push when it hosts Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (9-16) on Thursday. Bayern, a winner in five of its last six games, is aiming to make the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs for the first time ever, and is coming of a come-from-behind 76-78 road win over Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos is all but eliminated from the playoffs race but will be looking to bounce back after losing 77-85 at home against FC Barcelona.

Bayern has won five of its last six games but has pulled out each of the last three victories similarly dramatic fashion, with come-from-behind efforts after trailing for the first three quarters, only to make a late fourth-quarter rally. Coach Andrea Trinchieri and his players will need to avoid that same pattern against Panathinaikos and try to take control of the rhythm and the scoreboard earlier in this contest.

Before allowing 85 points in its loss against Barcelona on Tuesday, the Greens had strung together five games in which they allowed 78 or fewer points. Panathinaikos will need to make sure it matches Bayern’s toughness and physicality in this contest. It will be important for Panathinaikos to control the boards and keeps its defensive focused against Bayern, which plays disciplined and patient basketball.

Baskonia – Olympiacos

In a showdown between two teams on the outside of the playoff zone, TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz hosts Olympiacos Piraeus on Wednesday. Baskonia (13-13) has been on a roll recently with four straight wins. Olympiacos (11-15) has slumped with six consecutive defeats. Though the Reds have a winning record on the road this season (7-6), Baskonia is 8-5 on its home court.

It is always tougher to win on the road when getting outrebounded and that’s good for Baskonia, which has been a superior rebounding team this season. To date, Baskonia has outrebounded its opponents by 3.5 per game on average, while Olympiacos has been outrebounded by 1.2. What’s more, Baskonia is third in the league in offensive boards at 10.9 per game. With Hassan Martin sidelined for the Reds, Baskonia will look to Achile Polonara, Tonye Jekiri and Moustapha Fall to control the glass in what could be the key to victory.

Turnovers have been an issue for both teams this season; they each average 14.3 per game, which is tied for fourth-most in the league. Baskonia has made up for its turnovers by leading the league in steals (8.0 spg.) and ranking second in assists (19.9 apg.). Olympiacos will not only need to cut down on its turnovers in this game, but increased defensive pressure on the Baskonia backcourt could also make a big difference.

  • Kostas Papanikolaou has missed Olympiacos’s last 11 games.
  • Hassan Martin is sidelined with a knee injury.

Armani Milano – Fenerbahce

AX Armani Exchange Milan will look to extend its home-court dominance when it hosts Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul on Wednesday. Milan (17-9) has won its last six home games and is 10-4 in the fashion capital this season. Fenerbahce (15-11) saw its 10-game winning streak come to an end last week, but Coach Kokoskov’s squad won three games on the road in that game.

Milan has scored over 80 points in its last four wins while dishing 77 assists and committing just 33 turnovers for a superb ratio of 2.3. It may need that excellent ball circulation against a physical team like Fenerbahce and both point guards, Sergio Rodriguez and Malcolm Delaney, should play a critical role in that. On defense, it is important to stop Vesely down low and Milan can look to on Hines and Jeremy Evans to do so.

  • Jeff Brooks has not played in the last seven games.
  • Zach LeDay has missed the last three games with an injury.

Fenerbahce has slowly but steadily improved its three-point shooting percentage throughout the season and it now ranks fifth overall at 40.1%. Ali Muhammed is back, giving Fenerbahce another weapon on a team full of great three-pointer shooters such as De Colo, Gurudic and Jarell Eddie. On defense, Fenerbahce must try to break up Milan’s fluency on offense and playing hard, on-the-ball defense against Rodriguez and Delaney could be the key to achieving that goal.
