Monaco – Crvena Zvezda

  • This is the first-ever EuroLeague meeting between these two teams.

Both AS Monaco and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade will look to bounce back from Round 5 losses when they open the Round 6 slate on Tuesday in the principality. Monaco (2-3) came up short 78-66 on the road at Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz despite 18 points from Mike James and a double-double by Jerry Boutsiele. It was the third straight loss for Coach Mitrovic’s team after a 2-0 start.

Zvezda (2-3) was bested by ALBA Berlin 63-78 in the Serbian capital. Ognjen Kuzmic was strong inside and finished with 16 points, but the offense otherwise failed to keep up. Zvezda lost its second game in a row. This will be the first meeting between the sides ever in the EuroLeague, though they split two games in the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season in 2018-19 with the away side winning each time.

Fenerbahce – Barcelona

  • Barcelona holds a 20-10 advantage in this series. Barcelona has won the last four.

Two of the best defenses in the league meet when Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul hosts FC Barcelona on Tuesday. Fenerbahce (2-3) has allowed the second-fewest points (68.6 ppg.) and the lowest average performance index rating in the league (68.4) through the first five games. That defense has not always been enough for Coach Sasa Djordjevic’s men, who are coming off a 70-69 loss at Real Madrid.

Barcelona (5-0) was allowed a mere 70.6 points and 69.4 PIR in its undefeated start. Last week Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius’s men blasted Zenit St Petersburg 84-58 with Nikola Mirotic posting another big game with 20 points and just 2 missed shots. Barcelona has won four straight games against Fenerbahce, which has won the seven previous showdowns between them. Barcelona is 10-5 all-time against Fenerbahce at home.

Olympiacos – ALBA Berlin

  • Olympiacos is 7-1 against ALBA in the EuroLeague this century. ALBA’s lone win came in Piraeus in January 2020.

Olympiacos Piraeus will look to get back to its winning ways when it hosts ALBA Berlin on Tuesday night. Olympiacos (3-2) comes off a tough 88-82 loss at CSKA Moscow in which Tyler Dorsey shined with a career-high 32 points. The Reds bring a perfect home record to the table and have allowed opponents to score a mere 62.7 points at Peace and Friendship Stadium.

ALBA (2-3) notched its first road win of the season last week with a 63-78 beatdown of Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. Maodo Lo continued his hot start to the season with 17 points and Tamir Blatt, the son of former Olympiacos head coach David Blatt, provided a big boost off the bench. Olympiacos has a 7-1 record in the EuroLeague against ALBA, including a pair of wins last season by 4 points.

Maccabi – Zalgiris

  • Maccabi owns an 18-9 record vs. Zalgiris this century.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will look to make it three wins in a row when it hosts winless Zalgiris Kaunas on Tuesday. Maccabi (3-2) held off a late surge from Panathinaikos OPAP Athens on Thursday to win 77-73. James Nunnally scored 18 and Scottie Wilbekin added 16 for the Israeli champs. Zalgiris (0-5) came up short at home against FC Bayern Munich 73-75 despite 17 points from Lukas Lekavicius and a double-double from Josh Nebo. Maccabi has an 18-9 record against Zalgiris over the past two decades, including one of the most famous finishes in EuroLeague history when Derrick Sharp’s buzzer-beating three-pointer forced overtime in a do-or-die clash for a ticket to the Final Four in 2004. Last season Maccabi beat Zalgiris by 28 at home and 7 in Lithuania.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 (-8.5) at 1.95 with bet365

Bayern – Milano

  • Milan has an 8-5 edge in head-to-head games against Bayern, all played since October 2014.

FC Bayern Munich will host AX Armani Exchange Milan on Tuesday for the first time since their thrilling five-game playoff series that Milan narrowly pulled out. Bayern (1-4) has suffered through a rough start to the season, but is coming off its maiden win of the campaign and looking to build on that. Coach Andrea Trinchieri’s charges bested Zalgiris Kaunas 73-75 in Lithuania on Thursday behind 17 points from All-EuroLeague forward Vladimir Lucic, who was making his first appearance of the season.

Milan (5-0) is one of just two remaining undefeated teams in the league and coming off a tough come-from-behind victory over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne last week in which Shavon Shields came up big with 15 points and 5 assists. Milan will have to lean on Shields and Sergio Rodriguez for more playmaking since point guard Malcolm Delaney is out with an injury.
