CSKA Moscow – AX Milano

Kyle Hines makes his return to the Russian capital when CSKA Moscow hosts AX Armani Exchange Milan. CSKA (18-9) comes off its biggest loss in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, 100-70 against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Mike James (19.4 ppg.), Will Clyburn (13.3 ppg.) and Toko Shengelia (10.7 ppg.) have been its pillars this season. Milan (18-10) looks for its second consecutive road win, led by Kevin Punter (14.3 ppg.), Shevon Shields (13.6 ppg.) and Sergio Rodriguez (10.5 ppg., 4.3 apg.). Expect an intense game between two foes in the upper part of the standings.

Without Milutinov, it will be a completely different game and CSKA must focus on Milan’s strengths to get a critical victory. On defense, CSKA needs to stop Rodriguez in his return to Moscow. Milan is without injured Malcolm Delaney, so Punter and Rodriguez will share point guard duties. James must put pressure on them and run the show on offense, creating shots in one-on-one opportunities, but also finding Clyburn, Shengelia and Iffe Lundberg to make CSKA more unpredictable.

  • Nikola Milutinov could miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

It will be a special night for Kyle Hines, who returns to Moscow for the first time after seven successful seasons with CSKA. Hines has the tough mission to stop Michael Eric and Joel Bolomboy down low. Other than doing a much better job at rebounding that in its last game against CSKA, Milan should running its offense through Punter and Shields, who have been strong in recent games. On defense, stopping James should be critical and head coach Ettore Messina can rely on Punter and Michael Roll to do so.

  • Zach LeDay has missed the last five games with an injury.
  • Malcolm Delaney has missed the last two games and is set to be sidelined for at least four weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic cleaning of his left knee.

Panathinaikos – Maccabi

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (9-17) is on a three-game losing streak and hopes to break it against one of its traditional sports rivals and its coach’s boyhood club. Mario Hezonja (17.5 ppg.), Ioannis Papapetrou (12.1 ppg.) and Georgios Papagiannis (9.3 ppg., 5.6 rpg., 1.8 bpg.) are leading the Greens right now. Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (11-15) hopes to snap its three-game road losing streak led by Scottie Wilbekin (14.5 ppg.), Tyler Dorsey (11.3 ppg.) and Elijah Bryant (10.1 ppg.). It will be a special game for Coach Oded Kattash, who grew up with Maccabi, but led Panathinaikos to the 2000 EuroLeague title by beating the Israeli champs in the championship game.

Ioannis Papapetrou is back, which allows Panathinaikos to play with a big lineup, using him and Hezonja on the wings. Panathinaikos must make the most out of that size advantage and stay aggressive on offense; the Greens rank second in offensive rebounding at 11.7 per night. On defense, stopping Wilbekin and Dorsey should be a priority and Panathinaikos can rely on two excellent on-the-ball defenders, Lefteris Bochoridis and Leonidas Kaselakis, to do so.

  • Nemanja Nedovic has missed the last four games.

Maccabi ended a four-game losing streak with a win against Valencia Basket in which the Israeli champs did a lot of good things. Maccabi scored 51 points after the break and was effective inside the arc (21-of-35 2FG, 60%). Omri Casspi gave Maccabi a big boost – 14 points in as many minutes – and he could play a key role in this game against Papapetrou. As always, Maccabi must find good scoring options for Ante Zizic and Othello Hunter in the paint to spread the floor for its many shooters.

  • Yovel Zoosman will be out until late March with a knee injury.

Villerbaunne – ALBA Berlin

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne hosts ALBA Berlin on Thursday night. ASVEL (12-16) comes off consecutive losses after a record six-game winning streak. Norris Cole (13.8 ppg.), David Lighty (11.9 ppg.) and Moustapha Fall (9.4 ppg., 5.5 rpg.) have been its main references throughout the season. ALBA (10-18) looks for its second consecutive road victory. Marcus Eriksson (12.3 ppg.), Simone Fontecchio (10.6 ppg.) and Ben Lammers (10.1 ppg., 1.2 bpg.) are leading the team in recent games.

ASVEL ranks fifth in three-point shooting (40.0% 3FG) and that should be one of its main weapons in this game against a run-and-gun team such as ALBA. On defense, stopping Sikma should be its main priority, as ALBA runs its offense through him due to his passing skills and off-the-charts basketball IQ. Guerschon Yabusele and Amine Noua should play physical against him to try to keep the ball away from Sikma. On offense, Cole should run the show, using his one-on-one and passing skills to make the difference.

  • Derrick Walton has been sidelined for several weeks with a hip injury.
  • Antoine Diot did not play in the last three games.

ALBA had a brilliant offensive performance against Khimki, making 18 of 35 three-pointers and dishing 31 assists. That allowed ALBA to rank second in assists (20.2 apg.) and three-point shots made (10.0 per game). ALBA, however, needs to cut turnovers to be more competitive. The German powerhouse averages 14.7 turnovers, which is second overall, and it is up to its main ballhandlers, Siva, Jonas Mattisseck and Maodo Lo, to make ALBA’s offense more efficient.

  • Jayson Granger is out after having hand surgery.
  • Louis Olinde is sidelined with a hand injury.

basketball prediction Tip: 2 (+5.5) at 1.90 with bet365
( Euroleague predictions with correct price at 11/03/2021, 10:25 CET. Odds subject to change )

Crvena Zvezda – Khimki

The two teams at the tail end of the standings meet when Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade hosts Khimki Moscow Region. Zvezda (7-21) is on an eight-game losing streak which it hopes to end right away. Jordan Loyd (17.0 ppg.), Corey Walden (10.8 ppg.) and Ognjen Dobric (7.9 ppg.) are leading the team. Khimki (3-24) looks for its first road victory since downing Zenit St Petersburg in Round 9. Alexey Shved (19.2 ppg., 8.1 apg.), Jordan Mickey (13.8 ppg., 5.5 rpg.) and Errick McCollum (10.3 ppg.) are Khimki’s main pillars.

Zvezda has been heavily undermanned in recent games, but is expected to bring back some players to its roster in this game. Even so, Loyd should stay as its first option on offense. Zvezda lost three of its last six games by 3 points or less, so being more focused in crunch time should make the team more competitive. On defense, stopping Shved should be a priority and Zvezda can rely on Walden and elite on-the-ball defender Branko Lazic to do so.

  • Duop Reath and Quino Colom have missed the last five games.

Khimki should keep running its frontcourt offense through Mickey, who has been on fire lately, averaging 21.8 points on 44-of-70 two-point shots (62.9%) in his last five games. Finding Mickey down low should be critical, as well as running its backcourt offense through Shved and McCollum. Khimki allows 90.8 points on average, at least 7.1 more points than any other team. Being able to contest more shots should make Khimki more competitive right away.

  • Devin Booker has missed the last seven games.
  • Stefan Jovic has not played in the last six games.
  • Janis Timma has not played in the last three games.

basketball prediction Tip: Winning Margin 3-way Any Other (1-5 points) at 3.00 with bet365

Real Madrid – Barcelona

One of the greatest rivalries in sports will have a new chapter written this week. Real Madrid (17-11) arrives to El Clasico after a critical road victory against Zenit St Petersburg in Round 28. Walter Tavares (11.6 ppg., 8.1 rpg., 1.8 bpg.), Gabriel Deck (7.8 ppg.) and Jaycee Carroll (10.0 ppg.) are leading the team right now. FC Barcelona (20-8) can become the first team to qualify for the playoffs with a win on its rivals’ court. Nikola Mirotic (16.7 ppg., 6.2 rpg.), Cory Higgins (12.9 ppg.) and Brandon Davies (12.0 ppg.) have led Barcelona until now.

Real is not scoring as much as in recent seasons (79.8 ppg.), but has also improved its defense. Real allows 76.8 points on average and keeps opponents to just 51.2% shooting on two-pointers. Tavares and Usman Garuba lead the team on defense and both players should have critical roles against Davies and Mirotic, respectively. On offense, Carlos Alocen and Nico Laprovittola will try to prevent Nick Calathes from dominating the game tempo, which may be one of the biggest keys to this exciting game.

  • Anthony Randolph is out with a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
  • Rudy Fernandez has not played in the last four rounds due to back issues.
  • Sergio Llull is sidelined after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Barcelona has the best defensive numbers in the competition, allowing just 73.2 points per game and holding opponents to 34.3% shooting from downtown. That should be extremely important against a team full of good shooters like Carroll, Alocen and, if available, Thompkins. Barcelona leads the EuroLeague in turnovers at 15.0 per night. Having a more efficient offense should make Barcelona even more dangerous as it has talented, experienced scorers at all positions.

  • Pau Gasol will not play.

Champions League tips tpday

Liverpool vs Real Madrid play in the Champions League final.

Who’s likely to start, who might be left out, and who is unavailable? We have brought together all the information available, so check out our Champions League final predictions today.

Saturday, 28/05/2022

  • Stade de France (80,698), Paris
  • Referee: Clement Turpin (France)
  • Real have won 13 Champions League titles (including the European Champions Cup) in 16 appearances in the final.
  • Liverpool have 6 Champions League titles (including the European Champions Cup) in 9 appearances in the final.

Road to the final

Liverpool wrapped up their on paper “tough group” (Atletico, Porto, AC Milan) with 6/6 wins. They then eliminated Inter, Benfica and Villarreal successively, winning on all 3 occasions and scoring 2+ goals on the road, while at home they only won against the Spaniards, drew with the Portuguese and were beaten by the Italians (0-2) in their only defeat in the competition this season.

Real Madrid cruised through the group stage (Inter, Sheriff, Shakhtar) with a 5-0-1 record. Their only loss was a shocking 1-2 defeat to Sheriff in Madrid. But Ancelotti’s team eliminated three championship contenders in… epic fashion. Against Paris Saint-Germain, they needed Benzema’s hat-trick in Madrid (3-1). The Frenchman scored 3 more goals in London against Chelsea (1-3) before his team beat the English side in extra time in the second leg. This was followed by two incredible games against Manchester City, losing 4-3 away, but scoring two goals after the 90 minutes in the replay and winning in extra time (3-1).

Liverpool vs Real Madrid possible line-ups

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keïta; Salah, Mané, Luis Díaz

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Éder Militão, Alaba, Mendy; Kroos, Casemiro, Modrić; Valverde, Benzema, Vinícius Júnior

Liverpool vs Real Madrid prediction

The odds don’t show how tightly contested the final can be, with Liverpool given as favourites by all bookmakers, but Real are the side that has linked their name with European success. Liverpool may be more tired from their unsuccessful battle to win the Premier League, and in two finals this season they have drawn 0-0 with Chelsea and won the titles on penalties.

On the other hand, Real have had a chance to refuel over the last month and are expected to be fresh, so they offset the disadvantage of the Reds’ greater physicality.

Whew… tough to predict. But we’ll go with the “2-3 goals” bet as our main prediction, with the most likely score being 1-1. Finally, we think 2.37 on the Spanish side to win is too generous to pass up.

Football bullet Tip 1: 2-3 goals at 2.00

Football bullet Tip 2: Correct Score 1-1 at 7.00

Football bullet Tip 3: Real Madrid to win the Trophy at 2.37

Euroleague basketball predictions The Euroleague Final fot in the Final Four will be between Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes. Check our expert Euroleague predictions.

Our EuroLeague Final 4 tips appear under each mini game preview.

Real Madrid vs Efes Anadolu

  • Real Madrid has 26 wins against Efes, that has 13.

Anadolu Efes and Real Madrid will meet for the first time in the EuroLeague Championship Game, but they have played many important games recently, including the 2021 play-offs series, which Efes won and then went on to win the title in the Final Four a few weeks later.

In the current campaign, Real and Efes have met twice. Real trounced Efes 82-69 in their season opener, with newcomers Heurtel and Yabusele each scoring 18 points. Efes defeated Real 93-90 in Round 31 almost six months later, with Micic scoring 29 points.

The championship game in 2022 will be the latest chapter in this developing rivalry. It’s a defining moment for both, and only the victor will be fulfilled.

The final is completely unpredictable; we like Real’s victory at the odds of 2.00, but we will also predict two players’ special bets. Real Madrid’s Causeur proved in the semi-final that he is a big game player, and his job will be even more essential with Williams-Goss out, while Yabusele is testing his hand a lot, and the odds on the market of Over 1.5 three-point attempts are worth it from every angle!

basketball prediction Tip: Real Madrid win at 2.00

basketball prediction Tip 2: Causer Over 8.5 points at 1.90

basketball prediction Tip 3: Yabusele Over 1.5 three-point shot (scored) at 2.15

Euroleague Basketball Predictions

Euroleague basketball predictions The Euroleague Final 4 is here! Check the semifinals previews and our expert Euroleague predictions.

Our EuroLeague Final 4 tips appear under each mini game preview.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid

This season, Barcelona was one of the stronger rebounding teams in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, but it couldn’t match Real Madrid’s dominance on the boards.

Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team has conceded the fewest rebounds in the league this season, 31.2 per game, and outrebounded opponents by 3.2 per game. It had the third-most defensive rebounds (24.3 per game) and the fourth-most total rebounds (34.4 rpg.).

Real’s resurgent supremacy elevated it to a new level. Los Blancos dominated the league in rebounds (38.3 per game), defence boards (26.8 per game), and offensive boards (11.6 per game). It gave up the fewest rebounds (31.7 per game) and outrebounded opponents by an incredible 6.6 per game.

When Real met Barcelona this season, such was not the case. When the two teams played in Round 14, Barcelona won 36-29. After that, Barca won the battle of the boards 39-36 in Round 26. In El Clasico this season, Barcelona averaged 5 more boards per game than their opponents.

Matching those great defensive efforts in the semifinals could be the difference between Barcelona and the EuroLeague’s top rebounding club.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 (-3.5) at 1.90

Olympiacos vs Efes

Several figures stand out from Olympiacos and Efes’s prior games this season that could be worth watching in their semifinal clash.

Even though the teams won a game each, there was little else that was equal. Efes had 18 turnovers in each game, whilst the Reds had 26. Efes not only had more possessions, but they also shot substantially better, hitting 62.0%of their two-point attempts. Both teams tried 71 twos, but Olympiacos shot 53.5%, which was 6 less. Efes also had the best three-point shooting squad, making 20 of them (33.9%). The Reds converted 17 attempts at 30.9%.

Each game was won by the club that won the battle of the boards, with Olympiacos gathering 6 more rebounds across the two games. Even in the Round 26 game, which Efes lost, it outscored Olympiacos 90-105 in the performance index rating.

Olympiacos did get to the foul line more frequently, even if it did not shoot as well. The Reds converted 29 of 36 foul shots (80.6%), while Efes converted 25 of 27. (92.6%). Efes also had a superior season free-throw shooting percentage (82.1 percent -75.8%). However, if Olympiacos continues to draw a lot of fouls and puts Efes in foul trouble, that might be a game changer.
