Premier League Preview – Match Day 6

premier league

This week sees the majority of games on Saturday with the early kick-off at Old Trafford as United welcome defending titles champions Leicester City. The Foxes aren’t quite having the start to the season they had initially hoped for especially the 4-1 defeat against Liverpool earlier this month, however, The Blues did have a good week last week winning 3-0 against Club Brugge in their first Champions League group game followed by another 3-0 win over the weekend against Burnley. Wednesday night didn’t quite go to plan however proving that the team are having troubles with some of the bigger teams after Chelsea secured a 4-2 away win in the third round of the EFL Cup. United on the other hand got off to a great start to the season but had a bit of a disaster week last week losing 1-0 in the Europa League to Dutch team, Feyenoord followed by a 3-1 defeat against Watford over the weekend. This game could go either way though Man Utd are currently strong favourites to take the win at 4/6, I wouldn’t be against a Leicester for this price so a 3/4 (1.75) on the Both Teams To Score bet is what I pick at bet365.

Also up north, Liverpool welcome Hull City who have both had some surprising results this season both for the better and worse. Last week saw Hull face an unfortunate 4-1 defeat at home against Arsenal, prior to this they’d only lost 1 game conceiving a total of 2 goals since the start of the season. Liverpool appear to be having a good start to the season, if we forget about their 2-0 defeat to Burnley in week 2… It could be that The Reds have troubles this season with teams they should be finding easier so Hull may be in with a shout this weekend. Despite this, a home win is more likely and 1/5 with bet365, if you did fancy edging your bets Hull are currently 14/1 with bet365. The only bet with value in this case might be the Over 2.5 goals since Liverpool is capable of reaching 3 goals.

Struggling Stoke welcome West Brom to the newly named bet365 stadium, after an awful start to the season conceding a whopping 14 goals already Stoke currently host the bottom of the league position. Mark Hughes will be hoping his team can pull it together to get their first win of the season however, previous results don’t work in The Potters favours as The Baggies have won 3 of the past 4 games with Stoke taking just one of those dating back to December 2014. A home win could be on the cards with Stoke favourites to take the win at 13/10 (2.30) but a West Brom win wouldn’t be completely off the cards at 21/10.

The highlight of the weekend falls to Arsenal v Chelsea for Saturday’s late kick-off both of whom netted 4 goals in last night’s EFL Cup so BTTS at 8/13 is a good shout. Both teams host 10 points with the Gunners fourth and the Blues fifth in the current Premier League standings so a win for either team will be essential for their title race. The Blues have won 3 of the past 4 times the two teams have met with the Gunners sneaking a 1-0 win in last year’s Community Shield. Prices for either team to win are pretty close, but our choice goes to the draw at 5/2 (3.50) with bet365.

As always, bet365’s Euro Soccer Bonus will be available for your weekend acca potentially earning you up to an additional 100% on your winnings click here to find out more.

Euroleague Basketball Predictions

The Euroleague continues with a double-round week and the battle for the playoffs is taking one of its final turns. So, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up.

Yes, these are the best Euro League basketball tips you can possible find and appear under each mini game preview.

Maccabi – Fenerbahce

The excellent home record of Maccabi (13-13) will be put to the test when high-flying Fenerbahce (16-9) pays a visit, hoping to maintain its top-four position with a fourth straight victory. The return to fitness of Nemanja Bjelica, who finally played his first game of the season in last week’s rout of Virtus, has boosted the Turkish team. Tyler Dorsey, another new face at Fenerbahce, could make his debut in familiar surroundings after debuting in the competition with two strong seasons at Maccabi between 2019 and 2021.

Crvena Zvezda – Anadolu Efes

Efes (13-12) is looking to extend its lead in the table with a third straight road win and inflict more pain on host Zvezda (11-15), which is in a slump after losing six of its last seven games. Facundo Campazzo will make his home EuroLeague debut for Zvezda, and his ability to overcome Elijah Bryant’s strong defensive game will be crucial. In the absence of injured superstar Vasilije Micic, the Efes guard has stepped up big time, averaging 13.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in the last three games.

Under 159.5 at 1.90

Monaco – Panathinaikos

Monaco (16-10) will look to keep the pressure on the current top four by defeating Panathinaikos (8-18), which is looking to snap a five-game losing streak. A key matchup will take place between two potent shooters facing off against their former teams: Mike James, who played for Panathinaikos from 2016 to 2018, leads Monaco with 17.0 points per game, while Dwayne Bacon, who spent last season with Monaco, leads the Greens with 17.7 points.

Euroleague Basketball Predictions

The Euroleague continues with a double-round week and the battle for the playoffs is taking one of its final turns. So, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up.

Yes! These are the best Euro League basketball tips you can possible find and appear under each mini game preview.

Alba Berlin – Zalgiris

With a trip to Berlin to play bottom-placed ALBA, struggling Zalgiris (13-13) will seek to improve its poor away form (7-19). The Lithuanian team has dropped out of the top eight after losing four consecutive road games, and it desperately needs to increase its offensive output after failing to reach 80 points in any of the previous eight games. ALBA should be an ideal opponent in that quest: the German team has allowed the most points, 85.3 per game, and was defeated 88-81 in November when the teams played in Kaunas.

Over 161.5 at 1.90

Olympiacos – Barcelona

As Olympiacos (18-8) welcomes Barcelona, a big battle between second and third could easily serve as a prelude to a Final Four meeting (18-8). Olympiacos is looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat at Milan last week, while Barcelona is on a five-game winning streak and has the added incentive of regaining the head-to-head edge after losing 70-80 at home to the Reds earlier this season. The game’s rhythm will be important: Olympiacos has the most assists in the league, 22.0 per game, while Barcelona’s defence permits only 13.4 assists per game.

2 (+3.5) at 1.90

Valencia – Milano

Milan’s (10-15) late surge up the standings will be put to the test with a journey to playoff-chasing Valencia (13-13), which is desperate to avenge a thrashing at Baskonia last week. Milan’s four-game winning stretch – all at home – was highlighted by a strong run of form from Billy Baron, who averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 assists during that time. After permitting at least 91 points in three of the last four games, three of which ended in defeat, it’s no surprise that Valencia will prioritise defence.

Over 158.5 at 1.90

Virtus Bologna – Partizan

Virtus (12-14) will seek to get back on track against a Partizan (14-12) team that is aiming not only for the playoffs but also for a spot in the top four. Partizan’s potent offence, which averages 84.8 points per game, is salivating at the thought of facing Virtus, which allowed 104 points to Fenerbahce last week. Virtus, in particular, allowed the Turkish team to hit 20 three-pointers in that game and now faces Aleksa Avramovic, who hit 5 three-pointers in last week’s victory over ALBA, so better perimeter defence is critical for Virtus.

Partizan Over 82.5 at 1.83

Real Madrid – Baskonia

Real (18-7) will seek for their sixth consecutive win by defeating visiting Baskonia (14-12), who could not be more confident of pulling off an upset after blasting 114 points against Valencia last week. Real Madrid is expected to be without Edy Tavares, who limped off the court in the team’s last EuroLeague game on Friday, so Baskonia may attempt to gain physical supremacy after grabbing an incredible 43 rebounds against Valencia. Guerschon Yabusele, on the other hand, is expected to return for Real at an appropriate time given the probable absence of Tavares.

Under 168.5 at 1.90

Bayern – Villeurbanne

Bayern (10-16) will try to keep its slim playoff hopes alive against an ASVEL (8-18) side with little time to climb the standings. The return to fitness of team leader Vladimir Lucic, who appeared for the first time since Round 10 in last week’s win over Zvezda and instantly delivered a big performance with 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field, has been a tremendous boost for Bayern. ASVEL has only lost by one point to Efes and four points to Real in its last two games, so its confidence should be intact for the journey to Bavaria.

Winning margin 7-way: 1-5 points at 2.90
