CSKA Moscow – ALBA Berlin

CSKA Moscow fell to 13-9 after a 97-99 home loss to European Champion Efes. A great game that was decided in the details and CSKA’ goal is to put it behind them immediately and achieve a positive result against Alba. Shengelia (forward) is doubtful, Voigtmann (forward/center) was knocked out, while Bolomboy (center) is also out of the “battle”. To date, CSKA Moscow has 7 wins in 11 games in front of their home crowd, scoring 80.6 points on average in the EuroLeague, while their defense is allowing 79.1 points per game.

Alba, on the other hand, obviously does not have high goals in the EuroLeague, but they are coming off an impressive performance against Unics Kazan and showed that they will not be indifferent in any way. The German team’s record stands at 7-15 after an impressive 81-53 win over the Russians a few hours ago. Lo (guard) is doubtful and probably out for another game. So far, Alba is 2-9 on the road, scoring 75 points per game and conceding around 80 points on average.

Anadolu Efes – Villeurbanne

A big win for Efes, which managed to get past CSKA in Moscow with a 99-97 victory (overtime). The European Champions played up to their potential after a long time and improved their EuroLeague record to 11-11. Bryant (guard) and Anderson (forward) are still out, but Larkin and Micic (both guards) showed that they are fully ready. Efes is scoring 82.1 points per game so far, conceding 80 points on average, and note that Ergin Ataman’s team has 7 wins in 10 home games in the EuroLeague.

For their part, Villeurbanne fought until the end, but lost to Fenerbahce 76-85 (on the road). The French dropped to 9-14 in the EuroLeague, but the biggest problem is that Elie Okobo (guard, leading scorer) was knocked out for several weeks after having surgery. Diot (guard), Howard (forward) and Lighty (guard) are out for sure. To date, Coach Parker’s squad is scoring 73.4 points per game, scoring 79.8 points per game, and has 3 wins on the road in 11 outings.

Zalgiris – UNICS Kazan

No matter how hard Zalgiris fights for it, they can’t raise their head in the EuroLeague. Zdovc’s team’s record is 3-17 after a 78-94 home loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv. On the court, of course, the good news is that Lovern (center) is back, while it’s not unlikely that Nebo (center) will return. Kalnietis (guard) is still sidelined, while Strelnieks (guard) is also out. To date, Zalgiris is averaging just 69.7 points per game, they are allowing 79.6 points per game, while the Lithuanians’ home record is 3 wins and 6 losses.

Unics Kazan, on their side, are coming off perhaps their worst performance of the season. The Russians lost handily to Alba in Berlin, with the final score of 53-81 needing no further analysis. Coach Perasovic’s team’s record stands at 12-10, which, however, continues without any major injury problems. Unics Kazan on the road has 4 wins and 6 losses so far in the EuroLeague, has an energy rating of 76.7 points per game, while defensively they are decent, averaging 75.8 points on the offensive end.

Baskonia – Olympiacos

Baskonia’s fortunes are deteriorating. The Basque club battled back against Zenit St. Petersburg at home, but lost 82-90 and fell to 7-15 in the EuroLeague. Coach Spahia’s team appears to be oblivious to postseason qualification, but the goal is for Baskonia to remain competitive in every game. There have been no significant injuries or unforeseen happenings in the recent few hours. Baskonia had 5 wins and 6 losses in front of their home crowd this season, scoring an average of 72.5 points per game and allowing 79.5 points per game.

Olympiacos has now lost two EuroLeague games in a row and has not tasted victory in some weeks. However, the performance versus Real Madrid was outstanding. The Reds fell to Madrid in the details, 67-75, and slipped to 12-9 in the EuroLeague, making the game versus Baskonia even more critical than it already was. Giorgos Printezis (forward) is not yet ready, while Larentzakis (guard) and Acy (forward) do not appear to be capable of assisting the Piraeus team in Vitoria. Keep in mind that Olympiacos has lost 8 of its 11 EuroLeague road games. The visitors average 79.5 points per game and receive 73.7 points.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 (+3.5) at 1.90 with bet365

Real Madrid – Zenit

Real Madrid had to fight hard against Olympiacos, but came out on top 75-67. Despite missing Deck (forward), Hanga (guard/forward), and Taylor (forward) against the Reds, Pablo Lasso’s team remained atop the standings. It’s unclear which players will be available on Friday night, but Real has gone 12/12 at home in the EuroLeague so far. Madrid is averaging 80.8 points per game and has one of the league’s best defences, allowing close to 72 points per game.

Zenit St. Petersburg also won to extend their EuroLeague winning streak. Xavi Pascual’s side had a difficult time against Baskonia, but they won 90-82 and improved their record to 14-7 in the competition. Gudaitis (centre) is still out, but no new injuries have developed. Frankamp (guard) is also unlikely to return to the lineup. So far, the Russians are 7-3 on the road, averaging 74.9 points per game and excellent defensive scoring, averaging 72.8 points per game.
