Zalgiris – Barcelona

Zalgiris is the competition’s lowest-scoring team, averaging 71.2 points per game, but has recently improved those figures. Zalgiris has won three of its previous four games, averaging 80.3 points per game. In the last four games, seven different players have scored in double figures, including Milaknis and Lauvergne three times. Milaknis will face Kuric in an intriguing matchup, while Nebo and Lauvergne will battle Davies and Sanli in the paint. Controlling the defensive boards, which Zalgiris ranks 16th in with 22.2 per night, should be essential.

Barcelona is on a 5-match winning streak and has scored at least 86 points in each of its last three games. It has also shot the ball well recently, making 71 of 119 two-pointers (59.7 percent) and 27 of 65 three-point attempts (41.5 percent) in the last three games. Continuing to shoot the ball at that level could be vital for Coach Jasikevicius’ club. Finding strong one-on-one opportunities for Exum and Mirotic may be vital for the visitors, and Barcelona can rely on Jokubaitis and Calathes to send the ball in the proper position – Barcelona had 19 assists and 7 turnovers against Monaco in Round 18 and could aim for similar figures.

basketball prediction Tip: 1 (+8.5) at 1.90 with bet365

Monaco – Anadolu Efes

Stamina could be an issue against Efes, as the Turkish team travels for the second time this week, having lost at Baskonia on Tuesday. Monaco can take advantage of this opportunity by playing at a strong tempo to help maintain its customary exceptional offensive output: the men from the principality have scored more than any other team in the competition, averaging 83.4 points per game.

Efes’ defeat in Vitoria on Tuesday was due to a second-half collapse, with Baskonia prevailing by 20 points (51-31). In a game against Monaco that is expected to be fast-paced and high-scoring, the Turkish team will need to draw on all of its energy reserves and mental fortitude to stay focused and disciplined for the entire 40-minute period. If not, Monaco has the offensive firepower to immediately take a game-changing lead.
