The action in the Euroleague regular season continues. We have learnt quite a lot of things about this years contestants after a few exciting games and we can predict with more confidence on european basketball matches today. So, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games:

Panathinaikos – Baskonia
In the opening match on Friday, Panathinaikos will try to end a four-game losing streak and record its first home victory of the year. Panathinaikos (1-5) looked powerful despite its losing streak as it mounted a late comeback against Partizan last week, but it ultimately fell short. The recruitment of forward scorer Bacon gave the Greens a big lift, and point guard Wolters, who missed the first few games of the season due to injury, had his best performance while wearing a Panathinaikos jersey.
Following a 116-87 victory over Maccabi last week, Baskonia (4-2) is tied for third place in the standings after setting a club scoring record. The team led by Coach Penarroya, meanwhile, has yet to record a victory outside of Spain this year.

Valencia – Milano
In what would be the first official matchup between the two teams, Valencia is scheduled to host Monaco. The two former EuroCup champions will now attempt to capitalise on their respective strong starts to the season by playing each other for the first time in history.
Both teams enter this matchup in strong shape, with Valencia coming off a remarkable comeback victory over Olympiacos in Piraeus (82-83), in which Jones and Dubljevic each scored 17 points. Behind 20 points from Loyd, Monaco defeated Crvena Zvezda by a score of 85-77.
A first-time visitor to Valencia, Loyd made his EuroLeague debut with them in 2019. Loyd scored 20 points and gave 6 assists for Crvena Zvezda in a 3-point victory the only time he faced Valencia.
