Zalgiris – Villeurbanne
Zalgiris has struggled inside despite having several solid outside shooters on the club. The team’s 50.8 percent two-point shooting ranks second in the league. It won’t be easy to get to the rim against an ASVEL club that is third in the league in blocks per game with 2.8 per game. Using ASVEL’s aggressiveness against it, on the other hand, could be crucial; ASVEL has allowed opponents to make 56.0 percent of its twos, the highest percentage in the league. It’s possible that Josh Nebo, Edgaras Ulanovas, and the rest of the team can score inside and change the game.
Despite its frontline size and athleticism, ASVEL ranks last in the league in offensive rebounds (8.9 orpg) and second in rebounds (31.4 rpg.). This season, Zalgiris has been outrebounded by 2.0 per game, thus ASVEL should be able to handle them on the glass. When they played on opening night, Villeurbanne outrebounded Zalgiris 35-26, led by Youssoupha Fall’s 9 rebounds, to win 88-76, and another strong performance on the boards might be the difference in Kaunas.

Baskonia – Fenerbahce
Baskonia’s defence has improved recently, holding opponents to 70.3 points during the team’s winning streak. During the stretch, it has also reduced its turnovers to 12.3 per game and outrebounded its opponents by 9 boards per game. Fenerbahce has caused the second-most turnovers per game (14.4) and is an average rebounding club this season. Baskonia will be put to the test in both ball handling and rebounding, and if it passes both, it will have a decent chance to win this time.
Fenerbahce has led the league in two-point shooting thanks to a slew of steals and excellent ball movement (57.6 percent ). In terms of assists (18.2 per game) and thefts, the club is second in the league (8.3 spg.). Fenerbahce has caused the second-highest number of turnovers (14.4 per game), while Baskonia has forced the fewest (10.6 per game). Fenerbahce’s guards may have the recipe for a road win at Vitoria-Gasteiz if they can operate more easily on offensively and come up with steals on defence.

Monaco-Olympiacos
Monaco leads the league in scoring (84.1 ppg), thanks to outstanding offensive rebounding (11.0 orpg, fourth in the league), steals (7.1 spg., third), and three-point shooting statistics (37.3 percent , third). Olympiacos, on the other hand, has allowed the third-fewest thefts (6.2 per game) and has kept opponents to 33.2 percent three-point shooting, which is the fourth-lowest in the league. The Reds will test Monaco’s strengths, but if it can continue to make threes and earn a lot of steals this week, it may have the winning formula.
With Fall (66.7 percent), Vezenkov (68.0 percent), and Martin, Olympiacos is second in the league in two-point accuracy at 57.2 percent (62.9 percent ). In the Reds’ triumphs this season, that percentage is even higher (58.8%). Monaco has given up the most points in the league (82.2 ppg) and has allowed opponents to hit 37.5 percent of their three-point attempts, which is the third-highest percentage in the league. Olympiacos should be able to score in the paint and from the perimeter, and if they can do so while playing their normal tenacious defence, a road win could be in the cards.
