The action in the Euroleague regular season continues with the last round for 2022. There have been consistent teams and some in form while a few are struggling to keep with the pace. So, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games:

Crvena Zvezda – Barcelona
Friday’s action begins with a bang as Crvena Zvezda (8-7) looks to continue its stunning ascent up the standings against a Barcelona (10-5) club eager to get back on track. Individual battles between international teammates could be decisive: Argentine duo Luca Vildoza (15.2 ppg) and Nico Laprovittola (14.7 ppg) are the teams’ respective leading scorers, and Zvezda will need Vildoza to be at his best to end a seven-game, five-year losing streak against the Spanish side.

Panathinaikos – Olympiacos
The Greek derby will give a passionate finish to 2022 as Panathinaikos (6-9) aims to rise toward the playoff zone against an Olympiacos (9-6) side desperate to rebound from consecutive losses. The Greens are seeking to continue their four-game winning streak at home after suffering big setbacks in previous season’s derbies. The matchup between the league’s top and third-leading scorers, Dwayne Bacon (20.3 ppg) and Sasha Vezenkov (19.2 ppg), will not be happening in the Athens capital, since the Bulgarian star of Olympiacos is out injured. Panathinaikos’ Wolters is also doubtful, but Panathinaikos looks determined to stop a 9 win streak of the Reds in the derby of the “eternal rivals”.

Asvel Villeurbanne – Alba Berlin
Two clubs aiming to regain their winning ways meet in Lyon, as ASVEL (6-9) takes on last-placed ALBA (3-12), which has now been two games back at the bottom of the standings following a club-record 12-game losing streak. ASVEL’s three-game winning streak came to an end last week with a crushing loss against Real Madrid, but Coach TJ Parker’s club had another outstanding performance from Amine Noua, who has averaged 13 points on 16-of-22 field goal shooting (72.7%) over the last three games.
Tip: Over 159.5 at 1.90
Virtus Bologna – Fenerbahce
The final game of a remarkable 2022 EuroLeague season gives Fenerbahce (10-5) with an opportunity to halt its three-game losing streak with a trip to Virtus (6-9), which has won two straight at home. In the first match between the clubs in nearly two decades, visiting coach Dimitris Itoudis will face four players he previously coached at CSKA Moscow: Daniel Hackett, Iffe Lundberg, Toko Shengelia, and Milos Teodosic.
Tip: 2 at 1.80
