Euroleague Basketball Predictions

The Euroleague continues with a double-round week and the battle for the playoffs heating up. So, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up.

Yes, these are the best Euro League basketball tips you can possible find and appear under each mini game preview.

Fenerbahce – Olympiacos

Tuesday’s action kicks off with third-placed Fenerbahce (13-8) hosting co-leader Olympiacos (14-7). The Round 13 matchup between the teams was a rout, with Olympiacos winning 94-67 thanks to 21 points from Sasha Vezenkov. In that first game, the Greek club blitzed for 31 points in the first quarter, thus Fenerbahce will have to be ready to contend from the outset, especially after a sluggish start in last week’s loss against ASVEL.

Milano – Baskonia

Following a dramatic overtime victory over defending champion Efes in which Darius Thompson set a new EuroLeague season high with 16 assists, playoff-chasing Baskonia (12-9) will attempt to keep its offence going with a trip to free-falling Milan (6-15). The Italian squad has slid to the bottom of the standings after losing five consecutive games, and after conceding 101 points to Monaco last week, Ettore Messina’s men will need a significant defensive improvement to limit Baskonia’s dynamic offence.

Valencia – Bayern

Valencia (11-10) and Bayern (9-12) meet off on Spain’s east coast, both with four wins in their past five games, as they try to maintain their march towards the playoffs. Valencia will almost certainly give shooter Shannon Evans his debut, although captain Bojan Dubljevic will almost certainly miss out due to injury. Augustine Rubit, the January MVP, will be expected to put up another good performance for Bayern, who has scored at least 13 points in each of the last seven games.

Partizan – Villeurbanne

ASVEL (8-13) will look to build on their fantastic triumph over Fenerbahce last week when they go to Partizan (10-11), who is also on a high after a thrilling victory in the Belgrade derby. ASVEL’s newly recruited point guard Dee Bost will aim to continue his excellent start with his new club, while the host has its own backcourt ace in Dante Exum, who has double-digit scoring in the last nine games.

Barcelona – Maccabi

Barcelona (13-8) must reclaim Palau Blaugrana’s status as a fortress after losing three of its past four home games, and it is also determined to avenge last week’s El Clásico overtime setback. Despite only two road wins this season, visiting Maccabi (11-10) is clinging to a spot in the top eight, but a victory by 8 points or more on Tuesday would be extremely significant in securing the head-to-head edge between the teams.

Virtus Bologna – Crvena Zvezda

In Tuesday’s final game, two direct rivals just outside the playoffs meet as Virtus (9-12) hosts Zvezda (10-11). Virtus must improve his ball-handling skills after averaging a league-high 14.4 turnovers per game. It will be critical to maximise possessions against a Zvezda club that specialises on defence, allowing an average of 77.6 points per game. Zvezda won the first meeting between the teams in December and may be able to claim crucial head-to-head advantage this week.

Winning margin 3-way: Any Other Result (1-5 points) at 2.65
