Wednesday’s EuroLeague action begins in the Greek capital, where Panathinaikos OPAP Athens hosts CSKA Moscow. Panathinaikos (4-13), which has dropped three games in a row, is tied for the most losses in the league. The Greens have also lost their last four games against CSKA (10-7), including a 20-point blowout in Moscow last month. Alexey Shved starred for CSKA in that game with 17 points and 13 assists, which were both season-highs. Okaro White posted a personal-best 19 points in defeat. All of Panathinaikos’s wins this season have come at OAKA. CSKA has lost two of its last three games and is 4-5 on the road this season.

Panathinaikos is in a tough position. After the 65-84 home loss to Olympiacos, the “Greens” dropped to 4-13 in the EuroLeague and clearly have no realistic hopes of making the playoffs of the top competition. Dimitris Prieftis and his staff, however, want to see improvement from their team, but apart from all the other problems, they can no longer count on the power of the OAKA Stadium, since due to the pandemic, there will be only 1000 fans allowed at the court.
Panathinaikos has a 4-4 home record so far, with statistics showing that they score 72.5 and concede 79 points per game. In terms of the game report, the Greens are clear of Coronavirus, no unexpected muscle injuries have occurred, and there has been a boost with Stefan Jovic joining them. The experienced Serbian guard, however, is not ready to play yet, and is also struggling with Covid-19. Bohoridis is doubtful.

CSKA Moscow is also quite troubled, but they are definitely in a better phase than Panathinaikos. Of course, there was an unexpected situation with the absence of Clyburn (forward) and that’s why CSKA will not line up in OAKA with a full roster, with their road record so far being 4-5. CSKA is considered the favorite, but Panathinaikos in OAKA is unpredictable. With most of its scorers available we predict that the home team will score more than 76.5 points against a CSKA Moscow team that will focus a lot in the offensive tactics, having a full squad in Athens.
