Fiorentina to win away to Palermo

Sixteenth placed Palermo will try to wake up Fiorentina (2nd) from daydreaming of the title. The Sicilian side has only beaten teams that now rank lower than 14th in the Campionato, so the test might be a bit too hard for them.

The Viola need a win that would keep them right up with the pace in the Serie A title race. Their recent away form is a slight concern with no win in their last three on the road, but they have 4-1-3 in total and are very consistent defensively having conceded 15 goals in 17 matches.

AC Milan v Bologna Both Teams To Score (G/G elsewhere)

Milan has only one defeat in the last ten. However, they missed the chance to get into the European spots with two consecutive draws against Carpi and Verona. What is more interesting in Milan’s statistics is that 6 of their 8 home games saw both teams scoring. They have a great chance to gain all 3 points but I expect them to receive at least a goal.

Bologna plays with more confidence since they started winning. They’ve had a run of 4-1-2 in November and December that took them 5 points clear of the relegation zone. In their last loss by Empoli, 2-3 at home, they reminded the team struggling in the beginning of the season and it’s an enigma the way they will appear in the San Siro. Bologna scored in their last 7 league games (9 including the Cup), so they can do it again here.

Manchester City to win away to Everton

Everton scores goals, but defensively they are very unstable. Martinez’ men have dropped to 11th in the Premier League and are 6 points behind European qualification. There is although a shortcut to Europe through the Capital One Cup. They will try to win the semi-final first leg and go to the away game with higher expectations. However, their defensive inconsistency is a big issue. Robles is expected to start instead of Howard.

Manchester City looks well capable of exploiting that weakness. Sergio Aguero scored the winner at Watford on Saturday and the way that the match was turned around must be a big boost to the Citizens. Kompany is out, but City is learning to play well even without him. Boni is also out.
