Betfair has become the latest major operator to launch virtual sports, signing a deal to roll out desktop and mobile offerings in partnership with Inspired.
Betfair said that it is launching the products after acknowledging the “stellar global success” of Inspired’s virtuals content and following demand from players, with seven titles now live on its site.
The supplier’s Rush Football, Rush Horses, Rush Greyhounds, Rush Motor Racing, Rush Speedway and Rush Tennis titles are currently available via the operator.
Betfair will be running streams of the virtual sports twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, allowing players to place bets on 3,360 events each day.
Alongside the desktop offering, UK and international streaming via the iOS and Android platforms will also be launched.
“Virtual Sports have become a proven and increasingly popular category of sports betting, so we are thrilled that Betfair have now got in on the action too,” Inspired chief commercial officer of digital games Steve Rogers commented.
“Players love the immediacy and excitement of betting on our Virtual Sports – which are the most lifelike and entertaining in the market,” he continued. “They are already going down a storm with Betfair players.”
