Euroleague Basketball Predictions

Our Euroleague predictions continue this week with double the action. First we head to round 24. Let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up.

Yes, these are the best Euroleague basketball tips you can possible find and appear under each mini game preview.

Bayern – Baskonia

Hosing Baskonia (12-11), who were knocked out of the playoff spots after scoring a season-low 62 points in a home loss to Valencia last week, struggling Bayern (9-14) will try to go closer to the top ten. When the clubs met in October in Vitoria, Bayern prevailed 68–76 thanks to 14 points from Carsen Edwards and a defensive effort that limited Baskonia’s sniper Markus Howard to just 4 points. After a tough game the previous week in which he only made three of his fourteen field goal tries, Howard, who has averaging 18.6 points per game this season, will be hoping to get back on track in Round 24. In the paint, Serge Ibaka (6.8 rebounds per game) squares up against Tadas Sedekerskis (7.2 rpg) and Chima Moneke (7.3 rpg), three of the league’s top five rebounders.

3-Way margin win 1-5 points @ 2.65

Crvena Zvezda – Valencia

Unstable Zvezda (9–14) will be hoping for a comfortable home match against a Valencia (12–11) squad that is seeking its third straight win. While Valencia’s new backcourt addition Kevin Pangos has taken longer to settle in, averaging just 1.7 points in his three appearances, Zvezda will be looking to recent signing Javonte Smart to continue his impressive start after scoring 11 and 14 points in his first two games. The clubs’ thrilling back-and-forth game in December ended with Valencia winning 85-81, led by 21 points by Brandon Davies, who also contributed to the team’s victory at Baskonia the previous week. Joel Bolomboy and Luka Mitrovic will have to restrain him; the former is hoping to get back after registering zero points and no rebounds in the ALBA loss the previous week.

1 (6.5) @ 2.00

Asvel – Fenerbahce

Encouraged by their thrilling victory against Bayern last week, ASVEL (5-18) will try to maintain their upward trajectory when they host Fenerbahce (14-9), a team vying for a playoff spot. With Youssoupha Fall snagging 13 rebounds and Mbaye Ndiaye grabbing 11, ASVEL’s victory last week was largely attributed to their strong rebounding. This week, they will try to stop Fener big man Jonathan Motley from matching his impressive 23 points and 11 rebounds from last week’s victory over Virtus. In their Round 4 matchup, Fenerbahce overcame ASVEL 101-86 thanks to 18 points from Scottie Wilbekin and 9 assists from Nick Calathes, despite the fact that both teams were led by different coaches. With a three-point conversion percentage of 38.1%, the Turkish team is third in the league, while ASVEL is last (33.2%).

Over 164.5 @ 1.95

Olympiacos – ALBA Berlin

Olympiacos (12-11) will welcome a more formidable ALBA (5-18), which has won two of its previous three games, in an effort to solidify its postseason prospects. When the clubs faced off in Round 17, the German team lost badly, 67-94. Alec Peters scored 23 points on 9 of 11 field goal attempts and Thomas Walkup added 9 assists to lead the Reds to victory. Matt Thomas scored a career-high 19 points to lead ALBA past Zvezda last week, and Yanni Wetzell also continued to play well, with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Having won its previous three games in Piraeus, Olympiacos must maintain Peace and Friendship Stadium as a stronghold after dropping its last three away from home.

2 (+12.0) @ 1.91

Real Madrid – Maccabi

In Round 24, Real Madrid (20-3) will host Maccabi (13-10) in an attempt to move closer to securing home-court advantage during the playoffs. The Israeli squad has suffered three straight road losses, but last week’s decisive victory over Panathinaikos, led by Wade Baldwin’s 22 points and eight assists—a pivotal backcourt battle with Facundo Campazzo—showed promise. With 14 points and 12 rebounds in another impressive performance, Josh Nebo will try to take advantage of Walter Tavares’ absence to control the paint. Dzanan Musa spearheaded Real Madrid’s offence once more in their triumph over Olympiacos last week; he has now scored ten or more points in seven straight games.
