Baskonia – Alba Berlin

Baskonia must maintain control of the game’s tempo in order to prevent ALBA from running the floor. Stopping Lo should be one of the game’s most important objectives. Lo is coming off a career-high performance against Olympiacos (27 points, 34 PIR), but he won’t have it easy against two physical players in Baldwin and former colleague Granger. Baskonia won their last two games to snap an eight-game losing streak, allowing only 71.5 points per game on average. Maintaining that defensive intensity, as well as running the offence via Baldwin and Costello, should be crucial.

ALBA has a four-game winning run under its belt, and its attack has been outstanding. It hasn’t scored a lot of points (80.0 ppg. ), but it has shot the ball well in those games, hitting 84 of 145 two-pointers (57.9% 2FG) and 42 of 93 three-point attempts (45.2 percent 3FG). ALBA averaged 21.0 assists and only 11.5 turnovers in its last two games against Zalgiris and Olympiacos. Luke Sikma remains an important offensive player, and ALBA should find a way to make the most of his exceptional passing abilities. Lammers and Koumadje are tasked with halting a raging Costello inside.

basketball prediction Tip: 2 (+5.5) at 1.90 with bet365

Barcelona – Crvena Zvezda

Barcelona is coming off a 91-86 loss on the road against Zalgiris, ending a 5-matches winning streak. The club gave up 65.7 points per game on average to Bayern Munich, Panathinaikos, and Real Madrid, but 87.0 points to Monaco and Zalgiris. For the second time this season, Barcelona went beyond the 20-turnover mark (22) in Kaunas. Barcelona must play at its typical level of defence and limit mistakes, as attack should not be an issue with players like Mirotic, Calathes, and Davies.

Zvezda is on a four-game winning streak, with each victory coming by a margin of 7 points or fewer. In Zvezda’s current run, many different players have scored at double figures, but Ivanovic, Wolters, and Kalinic have all come through in crunch time. To keep Barcelona from sprinting, Wolters and Ivanovic must keep the game speed under control against Calathes and Jokubaitis. Exum, who has been in excellent form recently, will be a tough fight for Kalinic. Zvezda has given up 73.9 points per game on average and forces opponents into 13.4 turnovers. In a difficult environment like Palau Blaugrana, aggressiveness is essential.
