CSKA Moscow – Bayern
- Bayern has won only one of eight games against CSKA this century, but it was their last meeting in Moscow.
Two teams in the middle of the pack will clash in Round 12’s first game when CSKA Moscow hosts FC Bayern Munich. CSKA (6-5) split its games in the two-round week, finishing it with a 74-80 road win at Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in which Johannes Voigtmann and Will Clyburn scored 16 points apiece. Bayern (5-6) won both games last week at home; it bested Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul by 8 points behind 22 points from Vladimir Lucic and then beat Panathinaikos OPAP Athens by 3 with Darrun Hilliard scoring 20. The game will mark Hilliard’s first trip back to Moscow after spending the past two seasons with CSKA. Bayern center Othello Hunter also played two seasons for CSKA in the past and helped the team win the EuroLeague in 2019.

Fenerbahce – Anadolu Efes
- The road team has won the last three games in the Istanbul derby. Fenerbahce is 11-5 up in the Euroleague.
The first Istanbul derby of the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season will take place on Thursday when Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul hosts Anadolu Efes Istanbul. The game catches the two teams in opposite runs of form. While Fenerbahce (3-8) has lost three straight games, Efes (5-6) has reeled off three successive wins. Fenerbahce comes off an 86-75 loss at Zalgiris Kaunas in which Nando De Colo scored 17 points and dished 5 assists. Efes trounced AS Monaco 98-77 on Friday behind 17 points and a career-high 7 assists from Rodrigue Beaubois. The two teams last met in the Turkish League last month when Fenerbahce routed Efes 90-68 at home behind 17 points from Devin Booker. Their last three EuroLeague clashes have gone the way of the visitors, with Efes winning two of those.
Tip: 2 (-3.5) at 1.86 with bet365
Panathinaikos – Zenit
- Zenit swept Panathinaikos last season. Panathinaikos did the same a year before that.
Panathinaikos OPAP Athens looks to end a five-game slide when it hosts red-hot Zenit St Petersburg, which has won five in a row. Panathinaikos (2-9) came up short in Germany on Thursday against FC Bayern Munich despite 12 points and 6 assists from Daryl Macon Jr., who has been the Greens’ most dangerous offensive weapon this season. Zenit (8-3) outlasted AX Armani Exchange Milan in Round 11 behind 17 points from Jordan Mickey. Zenit head coach Xavi Pascual returns to the Greek capital, where he spent parts of three seasons as Panathinaikos coach between 2016 and 2018. Last season under Pascual, Zenit defeated Panathinaikos twice by an average margin of victory of 20.5 points.
Tip: Panathinaikos Over 73.5 at 1.83 with bet365
ALBA Berlin – Maccabi
- Maccabi has a 13-1 record in games against ALBA this century.
ALBA Berlin will look to snap a three-game losing streak when the German champs host Israeli champion Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. ALBA (3-8) is 1-4 at home this season and lost its most recent home game by 27 points to Anadolu Efes Istanbul in Round 9. Maccabi (7-4) had won five in a row before dropping two of its last three. Both of those losses came on the road, where Maccabi is 2-3 this season. Maccabi comes off its worst loss of the season, a 17-point defeat at the hands of Olympiacos Piraeus. ALBA boasts two players who know Maccabi well; swingman Yovel Zoosman spent the past four seasons with the club and point guard Tamir Blatt, whose father David coached Maccabi to the 2014 EuroLeague title, spent the last three seasons with Maccabi’s archrival Hapoel Jerusalem.
Tip: 2 (-4.5) at 1.90 with bet365
Baskonia – Real Madrid
- Baskonia holds a 7-5 edge over Real in their head-to-head EuroLeague games.
Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz comes off an eventful week and will now host Spanish League foe Real Madrid in its third straight home game. Baskonia (4-7) made a coaching change last week and it resulted in a Round 10 victory over Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade before it suffered a narrow loss to CSKA Moscow in Round 11. With more time to introduce plans from Coach Never Spahija, Baskonia should be looking more dangerous from game to game. Real (9-2) has won four games in a row and is now tied for first place. Last week Los Blancos bested LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in France before topping Zvezda at home. These teams met most recently at the end of October in the Spanish League and Real strolled to a 65-83 road win courtesy of Vincent Poirier’s double-double. The same Poirier spent two seasons in Vitoria-Gasteiz and was a member of the All-EuroLeague Team in 2018-19 as a Baskonia player.
