UNICS Kazan – Anadolu Efes
- Efes holds a 4-1 lead in head-to-head games against UNICS in the EuroLeague.
UNICS Kazan will look to keep its good form when it hosts reigning champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul. UNICS (10-7) had won three in a row and led by 20 against league-leader FC Barcelona on the road last week before faltering late and losing in overtime. Still, Coach Perasovic’s team showed that it is a force to be reckoned with anywhere, especially at home where the team has won six of its last seven games. Efes (9-8) has won three in a row, though it needed a later run led by reigning MVP Vasilije Micic to beat Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade last week. When these teams last met, Rodrigue Beaubois and Elijah Bryant scored 14 points apiece to spark Efes to a 71-68 victory in Round 5.

Crvena Zvezda – Zenit
- Crvena Zvezda and Zenit are tied at 2-2 in their EuroLeague games.
Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade looks to continue its strong run of form when it hosts Zenit St Petersburg, which has won three in a row. Zvezda (7-10) has won three of its last four games and had defending champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul on the ropes in Turkey last week before faltering late. The Serbian champs are 5-3 at home this season. Zenit (11-6) edged Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv 73-71 at home last week. Coach Xavi Pascual’s men are 5-3 on the road this season. These teams have plenty of familiarity with each other; Zenit’s top scorer Jordan Loyd starred for Zvezda last season and his backcourt mate spent the previous two seasons there. Zvezda swingman Austin Hollins played the past two seasons for Zenit and Marko Simonovic, Stefan Markovic and forward Aaron White have also worn the Zenit uniform in the past.

The two teams at the bottom of the standing swill clash on Thursday when Panathinaikos OPAP Athens hosts Zalgiris Kaunas. Panathinaikos (4-13) comes off a 19-point defeat at the hands of archrival Olympiacos Piraeus in the Athens derby. They will be without 4 regular players because of Covid-19, so they will appear in the OAKA Stadium with 7 players plus to youngsters in a 9-men squad. Zalgiris’s (3-13) Round 17 game was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak at scheduled opponent AX Armani Exchange Milan. When these teams last met, Zalgiris put a 0-10 start to the season to bed with a 76-69 home win.
