Euroleague Basketball Predictions
The Euroleague has already been heating up this week, when we have welcomed a double round. As you will see on the previews, we’ve done our research, so, let’s dive straight into our Euroleague picks for today’s games. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up.
Yes, these are the best Euro League basketball tips you can possibly find and appear under each mini game preview.
Zalgiris – Efes
Zalgiris (8-15) hosts Efes (9-14) in a matchup between two clubs hoping to revive their flagging playoff hopes. Will Clyburn scored 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to help the Turkish team win 86-82 in November. Clyburn’s return to fitness has significantly strengthened Erden Can’s starting lineup. Zalgiris will need to manage Shane Larkin’s scoring prowess. In that game, he was outscored by -who else- Keenan Evans by 20 points. Under new coach Andrea Trinchieri, Laurynas Birutis is becoming more significant in the paint. He will try to prevail over Tyrique Jones and Dan Oturu, two big players for Efes.

Monaco – Partizan
Prince Obradovic against King Obradovic in Monaco! Direct rival Partizan (12-11) will pay a visit to Monaco (13-10) as they attempt to continue their winning streak. After Partizan won their first encounter 89-85, Monaco, who has won two straight, needs to win by five points or more to take the lead in the head-to-head match. Kevin Punter scored 25 points in that contest and had 7 assists. P.J. Dozier, who scored 23 points on 10-of-12 field goal shooting in Partizan’s victory over Zalgiris the previous week, highlighted his expanding role in the backcourt. There is more to Monaco’s backcourt than simply league-leading scorer Mike James, as seen by their tight victory over Efes last week, as Elie Okobo (16 points) and Jordan Loyd (14) both contributed.

Panathinaikos – Milano
Inconsistent Milan (10-13) will try to gather more momentum against a Panathinaikos (14-9) squad that has won four straight in Athens. The Italians pulled off an impressive victory over Barcelona last week. However, when these clubs played a month ago, Kendrick Nunn, who has averaged 17.3 points in the previous four games, led the Greens to a victory in Milan, 68-76. Shields scored 23 points to lead Milan over Barca last week, while new addition McGruder also contributed well, scoring 11 in just his second game for the team. McGruder will try to build on this performance to give the backcourt more depth as it has struggled this season.

Barcelona – Virtus Bologna
Barcelona (15-8) and Virtus (15-8)—two teams now tied for second place—will square off in a major match for that spot. Both teams are trying to recover from road setbacks after Virtus was defeated by Fenerbahce and Barca by Milan. In their meeting in Round 12, the Italian team prevailed 80-75 thanks to a late basket from Iffe Lundberg (24 points). The hosts will look to Jan Vesely, who maintained his incredible season with 28 points in Milan last week, and Willy Hernangomez to better guard their backboard after Virtus also pulled down 14 offensive rebounds that day, including 4 from Jordan Mickey. After scoring zero points in Milan, Nico Laprovittola will be eager to recover. He will go up against Marco Belinelli, Virtus’ long-range specialist.
