Euroleague Basketball Predictions
The action of the week begins early on Tuesday when Milan (1-3) hosts Maccabi (2-2) in a match that was initially slated for Round 2 in an attempt to recover from back-to-back defeats.
Milano – Maccabi
With Nikola Mirotic (22.5 points per game) and Shavon Shields (15.8), Milan has become overly dependent on them. As a result, players like Kevin Pangos and Nicolo Melli will need to step up.
Following a 28-point loss to Monaco last week, Maccabi will be concentrating on strengthening its defence after giving up 43 field goal conversions. In order to guard the paint against Milan’s vast list of big men, Josh Nebo, who averages 6.5 rebounds, is crucial, while Lorenzo Brown will want to go back to his usual standards after a bad performance last week.
The absence of Mirotic, in parallel with that of Baron, make us believe that the away win with a handicap of 5.5 points has a chance to prove right.
