They are not in top form but they have done enough to play in the quarter-finals. After winning the group stage, they had a difficult test against Ireland who they beat 2-1 coming from behind with two goals from Griezmann. The French forward has scored his team’s 3 of the 4 last goals.

Deschamp’s team faces surprise pack Iceland. Having seen the unbeaten opponents holding on Portugal (1-1) and beating England (2-1), he must have prepared his players for a big battle.

France is unbeaten in the competition, but so is Iceland.

Kante and Rami are suspended and will miss the game.

Iceland

How many matches does it take to gain respect? We don’t know the exact answer but Iceland should be close to achieve that. Especially after holding on Portugal (1-1) and having beaten Austria and England by 2-1. They were actually better than the English side and deservedly made it to the quarter-finals. It is a hard to beat side and the main reason is that they only need a few opportunities to score. They have scored in every single game of the tournament and definitely planning to repeat this against France.

Iceland is very strong physically and great in set pieces.
