Panathinaikos – Milano

Panathinaikos has restricted ASVEL Villeurbanne and Crvena Zvezda to under 50% two-point shooting in each of its last two victories. ASVEL only got 63 points, whereas Zvezda got 73. On Tuesday, though, Zalgiris made 26 of 42 two-pointers (61.9 percent) and outrebounded the Greens 19-32 to win by 96 points. Milan has the best defence in the league, allowing only 70.3 points per game, thus Panathinaikos’ strong defensive effort in the paint is even more crucial in containing Coach Messina’s guys. Panathinaikos is second in the league in blocks per game (2.8), so defending the rim could be crucial in this contest.

Milan is a good three-point shooting team, but its main problem in losses has been making long-range shots. In its eighth loss of the season, the squad has made only 6.6 three-pointers at a rate of 29.3 percent. The percentage of defeats is the second-lowest among all teams, and the overall number of threes is the third-lowest. In Athens, attacking the rim is difficult, but if Delaney, Rodriguez, Hall, and the rest of the team can hit their threes, a win in the Greek city becomes much more likely.

Bayern – Olympiacos

Bayern Munich maintains a 12-12 record in the EuroLeague. They have a few weeks left in the top flight, and the game against Olympiacos might be pivotal in terms of their participation in the playoffs. With 17 wins and 5 loses, Coach Trinchieri’s team is now in first place in the Bundesliga. Bayern will be strengthened after a long time with the addition of Hilliard and Zipper. Wyler-Babb, on the other hand, is sidelined. The home team has 8 victories and 4 losses in Munich so far, with an average of 74 points scored and 73.5 points conceded.

Olympiacos, on the other hand, is still in great shape. Last week, the Reds beat Armani Milano 67-58 in Piraeus, improving their EuroLeague record to 15-9. The team of Giorgos Bartzokas has significantly improved its chances of making the playoffs against the best while also competing for home court advantage. On the court, the Greek club is in the fortunate position of being free of severe injuries. Olympiacos has four wins in 12 EuroLeague road games so far, indicating that it is one of the greatest offensive teams in the league (79 points) while also being one of the best defensive teams (73.4).
